Aim and Scope
The aim of the Symposium is to present the latest scientific results on all aspects of research, innovation and development in the various areas of life science and bioresearch, to promote and encourage the creation of European poles of scientific excellence.
Over the last nine years, the Symposium “Prospects for the 3rd Millennium Agriculture” benefited from the experience of numerous specialists from 25 countries of the research area of Europe and USA.
General information
Location
Cluj-Napoca is the most important city of Transylvania, well known as the second largest University town in Romania. There are nine universities with more than 85,000 students in Cluj. In Cluj-Napoca you will not only discover the beauty of old historical buildings and monuments, but also the look of a new dynamic city, with its famous Romanian hospitality.
Entrance visa
For participants from most of the European countries and USA there is no need for an entrance visa. If you have any questions please contact the Romanian Consulate in your country in order to obtain more information.

Official language
The official language of the conference is English. No translation facilities for other languages will be provided.
Registration Fees
If paid before the 16th of August 2011, the participation fee at the Symposium is 300 Ron (around 75 euro) for those not attending the banquet and 400 Ron (100 euro) for the attendees. If paid between the 16th of August and the 15th of September 2011, the participation fee is 400 Ron (100 euro) for those not attending the banquet and 500 Ron (125 euro) for the attendees. After 15th September no registration fee accepted. The registration fee covers admission to all sections, coffee/tea breaks, welcome reception, dinner Banquet and a copy of the Proceedings volume (Bulletin of UASVM).
Each registered participant may submit an oral paper and one poster as first author, and can be co-author for other articles. The accepted papers will be published as full text (those accepted for oral presentation) and as summary page (those accepted for presentation as a poster).

Other information
Travel arrangements: Cluj-Napoca has an International Airport. Regular direct flights to Cluj-Napoca from Frankfurt, Wien, Stuttgart, Milan, and Budapest or via Bucharest, or Timisoara can be booked.
Arriving at the Cluj airport you can get to your hotel by taxi or special buses from the airport to the city centre (about 10 €)
Weather in Romania in October is generally pleasant and sunny. Temperatures range from 15 to 20ºC in the day and 10-15ºC in the night. However, an umbrella can be useful.
Electricity: power is AC 220 V, 50 Hz; electric plugs are like in any other country on the continent.
Foreign currency exchange should be done only in hotels, banks or exchange offices; rates can vary between different offices as much as 5% for the same currency.
